I was born and grew up in Edinburgh, then lived and worked in London and Hong Kong for 15 years.  On my return to Scotland I made a TV series called The Woman Who Ate Scotland - check out on Youtube - and qualified as a nutritionist and wrote a cookbook called Eat Well. I spent three months at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, refining my cooking skills, ran two cafes in Edinburgh and now love doing my walking tours and cookery classes. \n\nI live in a 200-year old flat in the heart of the Georgian New Town. I love cooking at home and lots of guests on my food tours are keen to try traditional good quality Scottish food, especially haggis - which I think is delicious! So I have created a typical Scottish meal which you can learn to cook at home: Cullen Skink - smoked haddock soup with homemade oatcakes, then haggis, potatoes and turnip with a bit of poetry from Burns thrown into the mix ( I buy the haggis from my local butcher, you won't be making it; no one makes haggis at home!) Then we'll finish with shortbread which you have made yourself and there will be enough for you to take home. We'll cook in my stone-flagged kitchen then eat in my sunny sitting room.\n",
