Some of the dishes frequently churned out of my kitchen: meaty braises, beautiful salads, comida criolla, savory and sweet pies, and marzipan cakes. Private parties of six or more are also welcome on any day except Sunday. \n\nI've been part of NOVA's food and wine scene since 2009 after a job at the National Gallery of Art drew me away from upstate New York's beautiful wine country where I'd spend days riding a fork lift, jumping inside wine presses with a hose, and playing frisbee. I am a compulsive cook and grow lots of unusual herbs and heirloom vegetables.  I have traveled widely and am always influenced by the food I encounter in my travels.  Once I traveled to Italy for truffle season and had what I consider a perfect day when there were truffles at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  I love to get creative with recipes and there is always at least one thing from the garden in my cooking.  I entertain frequently and like to serve outside either on the front lawn overlooking the meadow or from the poolside arbor weather permitting.
