Many a summer vacation was spent in my grandmother’s kitchen observing, questioning, participating and imbibing. In those growing up years, everything was made from scratch – just-in-time ground spices, freshly plucked herbs and bountiful of love in the preparation. A foodie had thus blossomed. However I pursued a degree in Management Information Sciences . Go figure! What followed was marriage, travel, kids and a career in IT.The late 90s brought about a relocation to the land of the brave, dreams and the plenty. Disappointment followed quickly with the Indian food scene around the area of settlement in a highly Scandinavian mid-west. Something had to be done to nurture and hone the foodie in me.  Thus, was reborn a self-taught home chef, building upon the summers of grandmother’s inspiration. I took every opportunity to learn, experiment with Indian spices and foods.  I am constantly exploring world cuisines continuing the learning and fostering the love to travel and eat.
