"body": "Dinner at Alberta’s was one of our top experiences of a three-week trip. Not only was the homemade food amazing, but the company and conversation were even better. It was a beautiful evening on Alberta’s covered porch filled with family art treasures. A deep and wide-ranging conversation with Alberta and her cousin, Vinko, was delightful. The meal was a feast! Every course was excellent, but the melt-in-your-mouth, tender octopus, served with potatoes, parsley, garlic, and onions, was a particular highlight for us. After starting with an aperitif, the wine flowed all night, and a great time was had by all. Highly recommended! ",

We have three grown children and a 1 year old granddaughter whom we adore! We love to travel and have been to the south France before but never to Paris. My wife and I met in 8th grade (5eme) French class. Now, we both speak "un peu de francais" but we are working hard to brush up on our skills. \n ",

"description": "Hi, my name is Alberta and I'm excited to present my cooking experience to the Eatwith community, Albertina Royals Dinner. Since I was a little girl my grandmother has been teaching me traditional Dalmatian recipes in our family home which is located in the beautiful quarter of Spinut that sits adjacent to the Marjan hill peninsula. Some of the recipes are over 100 years old! My home has been described by friends as a living museum. Walls covered with old paintings and drawings from my grandfather's generation of Split artisans along with shelves packed with old ceramics and antiques, it is the perfect environment for our dinner experience. \n\nI will be serving both meat and fish dishes, along with side dishes. All produce is sourced locally from Splits well-known markets. The meal is accompanied with homemade grappa and locally sourced wine. I can cater to specific taste buds and allergies I just need to know in advance. I am happy to share and demonstrate my recipes to guests. I am always entertaining local friends for dinner and want tourists to experience an authentic dalmatian dinner, just like I remember my grandmother showing me.",
